The Frost Raptor
The Frost Raptor, a fierce and extremely intelligent predator, is usually located in the Polar Frost Plains of Eld to the North and the South. While they may migrate to regions that are known for snow during the winters, many prefer to stay in their original climate.
There are no exaggerations when people say Frost Raptors are intelligent. Capable of complex group organization and strategy, they hunt in packs, and are extremely cunning in such a fashion, using terrain to their advantage. Their intelligence and cunning could be compared to that of the elves, and their strategic skills to that of the Dwarves, and this makes them very, very deadly. The very, very few people that have lived through one of their attacks are the only ones to tell the tale.
Their touch can freeze skin in an instant, and their icy bite can pierce the strongest armor. Of course, there are other rumored abilities, but no one has experienced these during encounters, or if they did, they never survived to tell fables from truths.
There are also rumors that there are particularly intelligent Frost Raptors that have formed tribes, and even learned the ability to speak a rough form of Common along with their barking like vocalizations. But this remains to be seen.
If you encounter a Frost Raptor, do not attempt to fight. Do not attempt to scare it off. And there is no room for error for the task you must do to survive this encounter: Run.
Just... Run.
Run as fast as you can, or avoid the Polar Frost Plains of Eld. Though this one advises thee to avoid the Southern Frost Raptors, if one can. They are often twice the size of the Northern Frost Raptors, and thus twice as hungry.
