Name: Dagalûr the Dark One
Age: Unknown (Over 10,000)
Species: Demi-God (Son of a Demon and the Raven Queen)
Class: Fighter
Alignment: Chaotic Evil
Occupation: Ruler of the Dark Lands, Dark Lord, self-proclaimed soon-to-be Ruler of the World
Appearance:
His hair is long and blond, almost white, and his skin is the same, so pale, it's almost white. Around his eyes, however, his skin is charred black, his sclera the same, while his irises are a burning orange, glowing in the dark.
He has a lean build, muscular, but not bulky. He is built for speed and agility, but with his armor, consisting of thick steel and a heavy fur cloak, he looks a lot bigger than he is. Despite his burning gaze, however, his skin is very cold to the touch, and his breath releases a cold mist. His very soul is so corrupted, he permeates an aura of cold and despair.
Personality:
Ever since he was a child, Dagalûr has always been cold-hearted and cruel. The only time he would smile was when he saw someone in pain. He is a sadist, pure and simple, taking extreme pleasure in causing pain to others. Even to his subjects, he's cold and brutal, punishing them heavily for even the smallest of failures.
Fear is his greatest weapon, and he uses that to his advantage to make sure people are loyal to him, often flaunting his power, and making an example out of his subjects, to show that fear and treachery are not acceptable, and are punishable by torture and death respectively.
History:
Dagalûr was born over ten thousand years ago on the Raven Queen's plane of existence. However, she disintegrated him about a year after his birth, and had him spawn in the Lolth Realm where his father resided. This experience is what made him into the man everyone has come to fear and/or respect.
Due to the immense pain Dagalûr's small form went through during the disintegration, his undeveloped mind basically broke. The pain became him, and he embraced it. As he grew up, he lived only to let others experience the pain he'd gone through.
For over three thousand years, Dagalûr resided in the Lolth Realm, at one point slaying his own father to prove his strength. His uncle, the great demon Legion, who was the King of the Lolth Realm, became enraged at the murder of his brother, and sent his finest warriors to hunt down and kill Dagalûr.
They were all slaughtered...
Dagalûr, covered in the blood of his enemies, marched right into Legion's palace, killing anyone in his path, adorned in a hellforged armor, which would later come to be feared throughout all of Eld, Lolth, and most of Arathros. He entered Legion's throne room, confronting his uncle, who towered above him, holding the power of the thousands of demons he had killed, due to the assimilatory properties of his staff.
However, even with the combined might of thousands of demons at his disposal, Legion ultimately fell to Dagalûr after a battle that lasted for two hours. Dagalûr took the throne away from Legion, the castle in ruins around them, the throne being the only thing still standing. However, in a rare act of mercy, he left Legion alive, to serve as one of his Generals in his already growing army.
Seven thousand years ago, Dagalûr discovered the long since lost portal to the Realm of Eld, and ventured through it, leaving Legion to rule in his stead, but eagerly awaiting his commands. Dagalûr was sickened by what he found in Eld. He decided then and there to take over this place as well, that he would raze the cities to the ground.
However, Dagalûr was a patient man... He would bide his time...
Around two and a half thousand years ago, he surfaced as a cruel warrior, who quickly gained the loyalty of the creatures around the Dark Lands, by killing or torturing whoever stood in his way. They looked to him to lead them, to take them out of the Dark Lands and allow them to roam the world freely. He gladly took the position of leader, and had his subjects build him a tower by the southern coast of the Dark Lands, a pitch-black tower so high that from the top he could look over the whole country.
Now, after seven thousand years of waiting, building his army, sending out spies to weaken the defenses of the neighboring countries, Dagalûr is ready for war, and all who refuse to bow will be annihilated...
Family Tree:
Unknown
Fears:
-Death
Goals:
-Taking over the world
-Annihilating every single one of his enemies
Other: Dagalûr is very capable at controlling his demonic energy, and has developed a technique called Demonic Presence. It's a technique where he focuses his magic in a wide radius, allowing people to feel it. People around him will feel a bit heavier, and they will have a harder time breathing, but if he looks at you, and you're not strong enough to resist, the Presence can make you stop breathing completely, and make you feel like you've got the weight of the world on your shoulders.
In the lowest dungeon of his castle, Dagalûr keeps his pet, one of his greatest creations. It's a giant, black spider, Gorgoth.
Dagalûr also has two Hellhounds, which he has raised from birth, Kulshodar and Thrug.
