Husks
Husks appear in the future of Eld a year after the resurgence of Dagalûr and the invasion that followed. They are the result of Dagalûr's new head scientist subverting science and combining it with magic to create soldiers that would not only not need training, supplies, or weapons, but would also play a negative psychological effect on the enemy, mainly the races of Eld.
Unfortunately, they've succeeded.
The Husk may take many different forms, depending on what race it was made out of, but there are always three things in common with every Husk made.
One: Husks are created through what the Resistance has dubbed "Dragon's Teeth", spikes the Dark Forces place captured enemy races on, then activate them to impale the subject.
Two: Through this process, they are drained of all useful minerals, and everything within them that once made them unique are replaced with an abomination of magic and technology.
And Three: Husks, once created, are dead. Mindless, but controlled by those given the authority by Dagalûr himself. While undead, however, there is no semblance of life. No soul which brought them back to the dead, no zombie-like qualities, and no other instinct other than to destroy anything they see.
They are used with swarm tactics, often overrunning the enemy and causing them to fall back. Though recently, Dagalûr's Head Scientist has begun experimenting with the physiology of a Husk, turning them into completely other species, and enhancing their deadliness. These newer Husks are called Reapers by the enemy, but are still considered just Husks by the Resistance.
NOTE:
Husks are not to be confused with the Turned Forces of Dagalûr's Army. The Turned are merely races that have been corrupted by Dagalûr's Evil Influence. Any who are not sent to the Head Scientist for Experimentation are sent to Dagalûr himself in order to be corrupted by his presence, then sent out to battle.
