Normal bats are innocuous wild animals that feed on
mammals, insects, reptiles, or fruit. Monstrous bats, on the
other hand, are fearsome predators that attack just about anything
without provocation. There are two distinct kinds of Bat. The Fire Bat and the Shadow Hunter.
Shadow Hunter bats linger near places touched by the Shadowfell. They hunt alone or in small groups, sometimes acting at the behest of other shadow creatures or undead masters.
Fire bats are native to the Elemental Chaos, but
they now live in the world. They can be domesticated and are
often found alongside other fire creatures.
Shadow Hunter Bats are weak and pose no threat to armed humans, a decently armed militia can take down a small group of them. As such they are Unranked foes. Fire Bats, however, are Rank E due to their nature as Fire element creatures.
