Name: Ura Kise
Age: 39
Species: Human (Kattarnian)
Class: Wizard
Alignment: Neutral
Occupation: Shopkeeper in Ukilholm
Appearance:
Personality:
Ura is very lazy. He likes sleeping, and really doesn't like working. However, he has no problems running a shop, and he's pretty damn smart, and very good with numbers. He is usually pretty generous, but is prone to bouts of greed when it comes to people he doesn't know. He is also not above selling low-quality goods without informing the customer of such a thing.
Although he has a general dislike of fairies, he can't help but admire the creatures. Despite being so small and frail, they handled their money well, and that got them power, something that makes Ura feel very jealous. However, he would never admit it, be it his begrudging respect, or his jealousy, and would tell anyone asking that he hates their guts.
When it comes to conversations, Ura is very blunt, and doesn't really care what people's opinions of him are. This allows him to say what he wants, and not worry about the consequences... until someone breaks his nose, that is...
He also has a tendency to utter “Ara,” whenever he is confused, surprised, happy, sad, and so on.
History:
Ura was very studious as a child. He wanted to be a wizard, so he got an apprenticeship with a very famous wizard by the name of Orlon in his hometown of Bardgritoft. He was a prodigy in the arts, mastering spells, rituals, rune-carving, anything that the master told him to do, he did perfectly.
After a ten-year apprenticeship, Ura was ready to head out on an adventure, to expand his magical knowledge. He made a couple of friends on his journeys, he had a few flings, got into a couple of dangerous situations, and generally had many fun adventures. Then, everything came to an abrupt end.
After an evening of heavy drinking in Ukilholm, a greatly inebriated Ura came upon a fairy, who saw him for what he was, easy prey. The fairy, who called herself Eledda, convinced Ura that he should take a loan from her, so that he could afford the Blackwood mansion on the hill.
Unfortunately, the Blackwood mansion was not for sale, and instead of repaying the loan, the now sober Ura decided that he could get the money back whenever he wanted, so he bought a smaller house in the city, near the square and the market, and spent the rest on various magic supplies that he needed.
Unfortunately, Ura wasn't quite clear on when the loan was to be repaid, so when the fairy came to his house two weeks later, flashing the contract and demanding twice what he had borrowed, Ura was devastated. He had no idea what to do to get out of this mess. Luckily, however, Eledda was one of the 'good' fairies, and agreed that she would have no use for his house or magic supplies. Therefore, she claimed that Ura would be giving her weekly payments until the loan had been paid off.
Completely at a loss as to what to do, Ura made his way to the nearby tavern to contemplate the right course of action. Upon asking advice from his drunken companions, Ura made the decision to convert the first floor of his house into an item shop. Using what little money he had left, he bought items, and displayed them in his shop, selling them for at most thirty percent more than he had bought them for.
Now, after ten years, Ura has finally paid off his debt to Eledda, and he's free to do whatever he wants.
Unfortunately, he is too lazy to go back to his adventuring ways, and has decided to keep the item shop, which is called 'Urarara Items, Ara!'
